Flare adapters are not meant to be used for single-use plastic flare guns. Doing so may cause fatal injury. Only use these adapters in steel frame flare guns in good condition. Please remember, flare pistols are not meant to be used as a weapon. Any modification or adaptation of a flare gun to shoot live rounds, constitutes a title 1 Firearm. This means it must be treated as such in terms of safety, legality, and possession. Regardless of firearm classification, always treat your flare gun insert as a loaded firearm and follow basic safety protocol.

LAWS & REGULATIONS:
Any modification for a flaregun to shoot live ammunition (not blanks or flares) creates a firearm which must be a registered in accordance to the National Firearms Act [26 U.S.C. 5845]. This includes combining an adapter with an unregistered flare gun. The device in and of itself is not subject to regulation, but the possession of the device and flaregun may constitute possession of a firearm.
